Shockwave therapy is a non‑invasive treatment that uses sound waves to stimulate healing in tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues. It’s often considered when pain has not improved with rest, exercise, or other conservative treatments.
You have chronic tendon or ligament pain (e.g., plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, Achilles tendinopathy).
• Pain has lasted more than 3–6 months despite other treatments.
• You want to avoid or delay surgery.
• You are looking for a non‑invasive option with minimal downtime.
You have a bleeding disorder or are on strong blood‑thinning medication.
• You have a pacemaker or certain heart conditions.
• You are pregnant.
• You have an acute injury (shockwave is usually for chronic conditions, not fresh injuries).
Treatments are usually done in my clinic
• Sessions last about 15–20 minutes.
• Most people need 3–6 sessions spaced weekly.
• You may feel mild discomfort during treatment, but recovery time is short.
